What is a CMM?
A Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a precision inspection device used to measure the physical geometrical characteristics of a part in three dimensions. Using a touch probe or scanning system, the CMM captures exact coordinate points on a component’s surface to verify dimensions, tolerances, and geometric features. This technology ensures that manufactured parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability.
CMM Capabilities
Our CMM systems are capable of accurately measuring critical features including profiles, true position, concentricity, flatness, perpendicularity, and other geometric tolerances defined by ASME Y14.5 standards.
